It’s Monday, so here’s another Mondays Finish the Story! Check out the original challenge here!
Word Count: 146

She lived in a mango tree. They called her the Tree Woman because she never came out. Not once in many years had anyone seen her touch foot to ground. Sometimes she’d be inside the treehouse, sitting by the window. Other times she’d be out on the balcony or the stairs. Occasionally, she’d be climbing through the branches, plucking ripe mangoes.
She talked to the people in the neighborhood and knew all their names. No one knew hers. When they talked about her, they always just called her Tree Woman.
She was always polite, always friendly, but she never said anything about herself.
There were some who said that she hadn’t aged a day since they’d first seen her. There were others who said that for just a moment, from the corner of their eye, they saw her change into something else.
They decided it was best not to bring it up.
Creepy good! I wonder what it was she changed into?

Thanks! I’d say what she turned into, but I think she wouldn’t like that. 😉

Well, we have to owe a weird tree woman some privacy, don’t we? 😉

I wonder what it could be? I like reading your terse and powerful sentences.
