“Careful!” Craw shouted as the men lifted up the crate, carrying it to the truck. “That thing cost me a million dollars!”

“Sir,” his secretary, Margaret, asked, “are you sure that this is… wise?”

“Wise?” Craw grinned. “It’s awesome!”

“But a U-Haul truck isn’t the safest way to move something so valuable.”

With an exasperated sigh, Craw threw up his hands. “Yesterday, it’s all ‘Rick, you can’t spend that much money!’ Today, you complain because I’m saving.”

“But once you bought the item, wouldn’t it have been best to make sure it stay safe?”

Craw shrugged. “I trust U-Haul.”

“I’m still not sure this whole thing is legal,” Margaret muttered.

“Legal?” Craw stared at her with his wild, dark eyes. “Why wouldn’t it be legal to buy a T-Rex skull?”

“Because it’s a priceless scientific discovery that belongs in a museum?”

Craw laughed. “Priceless? I just bought it.”

This is for this week’s Flash Fiction for the Aspiring Writer. Thanks to Priceless Joy for running the challenge and Yinglan for the prompt photo.

This might have been inspired by a story about bottomless source of insane inspiration Nicholas Cage. But if his lawyers have an issue with that, it’s a coincidence.
