A Memory of Green

At first he thought there was something wrong with his lawn, but he soon saw it was everyone’s lawns and the trees as well, all violet as an evening sky.

He asked his neighbours, his friends, the Internet, even strangers in the street, what had happened, but they did not understand.

“The grass has always been purple,” they said, and they had never heard of green.
